Ocean Catch Seafood is Hiring a Seafood Clerk Near Wakefield, RI
Seafood Clerk (full time and part time available, bonus program for weekly bonus and large summer bonus- see bottom of post for details)
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their seafood selections
- Stocking the retail case and making sure presentation is neat and appealing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the market. including opening and closing procedures
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of seafood products
-Assisting in production of our Friday take out (Fridays 3:30-6:30), mainly taking phone orders and assisting in clean up.
Qualifications:
-We are not looking for temporary employees, if you are a URI student that lives out of state, please do not apply. Year round local students are encouraged to apply.
-must be able to lift 25-35lb comfortably and be comfortable being on your feet
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Customer service skills with the ability to engage and assist customers effectively
- Communication skills to interact with team members and customers
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
-Must have a clean appearance and be a reliable person
*Hourly pay rate tips bonus (over 32 hours worked is 2$ additional an hour). Starting June 14th we run a bigger summer bonus program of 3$ additional an hour over 32 hours worked or 2$ additional for 25-31 hours works. Plus a large bonus of 1500$ for full time workers working over 32 hours. We run this program every summer and we run our current bonus program through the off season*
